then and now . . .


The one an image, containing a context, but endlessly reproduced to the point of meaninglessness, everywhere and nowhere.  

The other an object from the past, slowly ageing, disintergrating in the now, altered for and worn by others and now supported by a substitution for the famous body. Owned privately, on occasion exhibited publicly, always only where it is.
